Chan Restaurant & Bar, Greece Award Winning Lighting

September 23rd, 2011

The Chan restaurant has again been awarded a 2nd design award this
year. This 2nd award was for it’s innovative and lighting design at the
Deltalight sponsored Restaurant & Bar Design Awards held at the East
Wintergarden, Canary Wharf, London.

NES worked in collaboration with Andy Martin Associates (AMA), Farrow
Design, and  L+DG Lighting to create a truly hypnotic Asian themed
lighting feature.

Utilising years of technological and manufacturing
expertise, NES fabricated anodised aluminium panels,
punched with a series of 3mm deep 6mm diameter
apertures to emulate a Japanese garden. The black
panels combined with the installation of NES’ market
leading edge lit LED lightpanels, created a serene and
abstract ceiling graphical feature to the restaurant.

Retail LED lightpanel displays

September 9th, 2011

We worked closely with the designer at Callison Architects to develop
stylish new Lightpanels for the landmark British retailer Harrods.

Polished stainless steel Lightpanels of varying sizes were designed and
manufactured at our Essex based factory specifically to compliment
the lavishly decorated department.

Each panel was designed to accept a Duratran graphic sandwiched
between a slim protective Perspex cover and an opal rear. The graphics
were then back lit with 5000k LEDs adding depth and life to the images.
The LEDs provide a clean even illumination in addition to being energy
efficient and generating no heat – the perfect retail solution!

Printed ACM Cladding panels Mayfair Casino Roof Terrace

August 24th, 2011

We were asked by the architects Jestico & Whiles to work with them to
design and manufacture the roof terrace canopy of Playboy’s new
casino in Central London.

Our flatbed printer was used to create hi-resolution UV images direct
onto the building material; something we specialise in. The client did
not want standard panels with a retro-fit graphic, which is why we
proposed the bespoke panels, utilising our expertise.

Particular care was taken in referencing the image to each ACM panel
in order to create a large seamless graphic on the installed soffit. The
panels were then folded to form part of the canopy to fix onto the
structural steel frame. The NES installation team then worked
alongside Phelan Construction to bring to life the architect’s vision.
