Should be an easy job. An all white set of screen covers.
MCC members are always well turned out and Lords' governing body are justifiably house proud.
But colour was the least of the issues in creating a clean finish to the digital score boards at the home of cricket.
Creating an immaculate finish to the giant frames surrounding video screens positioned around the ground was a detail job on a vast scale. Initial plans on the part of the contractor had suggested aluminium panels. Though adaptable, the design would have besmirched the superstructure with a mess of rivets, like spots of HP sauce on a bacon and egg tie.
NES proposed a combination of shaped and folded ACM panels to give a completely clean, uniform covering for the score board frames. The panels were produced, following a detailed survey, then fitted with precision by a subcontract NES team.
The result is a great improvement on original plans and leaves the video screens having all the composure of cleanly pressed whites.
