VisualPerf – Architecture is No Longer Static
Architecture responds to light, movement and perspective, façades and building cladding are increasingly where this dialogue begins.
VisualPerf is our in-house specialist perforated façade and cladding service, developed to transform building envelopes into expressive architectural compositions of light, pattern and structure through a tightly controlled design and manufacturing process, we translate artwork, photographic imagery or abstract patterning into precision-cut metal panels that flow seamlessly across the façade.
The result is architecture that performs visually as well as structurally with absolute control over detail, alignment and material integrity.
Designing Impact Through Perforation
Using our VisualPerf process, we transform images and patterns into beautifully detailed perforated designs. By carefully adjusting the size and spacing of each opening, we control how light passes through, how shadows fall, and how the surface is perceived to allow designs to move seamlessly from soft, textured finishes to striking, large-scale architectural features without losing their visual impact.
Panels are modelled in 3D and manufactured under controlled conditions to ensure crisp edges, consistent apertures and flawless repetition across large elevations even where façades curve, fold or transition between modules.
Materials That Elevate the Detail
VisualPerf cladding is available in a range of architectural metals, selected for both aesthetic quality and long-term performance:- Architectural powder-coated aluminium, uniting aesthetic versatility with proven external performance
- Anodised aluminium, offering exceptional colour consistency, UV stability and surface clarity, ideal for projects where refinement and precision are paramount
- Stainless steel, providing strength, durability and a clean architectural presence
- Corten steel, delivering depth and authenticity through a naturally evolving patina
To expand creative scope, panels can incorporate specialist surface treatments including brushing, bead blasting or texturing, enhancing the way light interacts with the perforated geometry, perforation can also be combined with formed or solid elements, allowing seamless integration with rainscreen modules, column casings or sculptural façade features.
Light, Depth and Movement
Perforated architecture comes alive through its relationship with light, as daylight shifts and viewpoints change, VisualPerf façades reveal layers of depth, shadow and contrast.- By day, they soften mass and animate surfaces.
- By night, backlighting can be incorporated using our integrated LED systems, transforming façades into illuminated architectural features with controlled intensity and uniform light distribution.
Lighting layouts are coordinated alongside perforation patterns and panel geometry to ensure visual clarity, long-term reliability and ease of maintenance.
